Welcome to the Verifiable Video project, a public R&D initiative by Livepeer - an open source and decentralized video infrastructure provider - to explore new consumer application capabilities and solutions at the intersection of blockchain and video streaming technology. Livepeer is committed to advancing the future of web3 video technology and applications. We believe that public blockchains can:

Technical Topics

We are exploring the following technical areas:

• Creator Signed Video - EIP-712 schema for signing video by creator
• Raw Media Hashes - hash of a media chunk (i.e video, audio) independent of the container (i.e. mp4, mpegts, etc.)
• Raw Media Merkle Tree - verifiable media chunks allowing to download each from an untrusted source
• Delegated Signing - delegate signing on your behalf to a third-party system
• Onchain Video - creating an onchain record based on a defined metadata schema
• Attestation - making claims about an onchain video
• Video Provenance Chain - making claims about an onchain video
